GYR1 electronic optical theodolite is a set of wind "light, machine, electricity" in one of the air wind observations for precision instruments. Aerial wind observations, the observer simply manual tracking balloons, balloon theodolite timing measurements automatically azimuth and elevation; the observed azimuth and elevation data can be passed to the computer through the communication interface; computer data processing software before using theodolite calculate the wind direction and wind speed aerial air wind data.

The main functions and characteristics

 

1)Voice prompts

 

   The theodolite has no display; it will give voice prompt to prompt which operation the observer did if any operation occurs on the operation panel.

 

2)Self-test function

 

   The theodolite can check if the internal angle sensors work properly automatically by self-test.

 

3)Multiple sampling interval

 

   The theodolite have five kinds of sampling intervals, including 10 seconds, 15 seconds, 20senconds, 30seconds, 60 seconds.

 

4)Real-time data transmission

 

   The theodolite can transmit the data to computer real-time while observing.

 

5)Orientation memory

 

   The theodolite can save the angle values of four aimed targets.

 

6)Battery voltage report and alarm function

 

   The theodolite can report the current battery voltage by voice prompts and raise the alarm when battery level getting low.

 

7)Timeout auto power off

 

   If no operation occurs on the operation panel, the theodolite will shut down automatically to save battery power.

 

8)The illuminance of “reticle” can be adjusted in nighttime observing.

   The button [target] can be press down at any time to report present height of balloon; The cloud base height can be measured by this way.
