Materials
Manhole covers and gratings
The manhole covers and gratings (gratings excluded)
are manufactured in the following materials:
a. lamellar cast iron
b. ductile cast iron
c. steel castings
d. rolled steel
e. one of materials a) b) c) d) combined with concrete
f. reinforced concrete (plain concrete excluded)
Rolled steel can be used only if a suitable protection
against corrosion is ensured. The type of
corrosion required against corrosion will be agreed
upon by the customer and supplier.
The gratings must be manufactured in:
a. lamellar cast iron
b. ductile cast iron
c. steel castings
The filling of the covers can be made of concrete
or other suitable materials.
