Acrylamide is a white crystal chemical substances, is the production of polyacrylamide raw material. PAM is mainly used for water purification treatment , pulp processing, and the inside of the pipe coating .

    Acrylamide is a kind of unsaturated amide, alias AM, the monomer for colorless transparent flake crystallization, boiling point 125 °C (3325 Pa), melting point of 84 ~ 85 °C, density of 1.122 g/cm3.

    Soluble in water, ethanol, ethyl ether, acetone, chloroform, insoluble in benzene and heptane, in acid and alkaline environment of acrylic acid hydrolysis into. Is organic synthetic materials of monomer, production medicine, dyes, coating intermediates. Acrylamide monomer in room temperature is stable, but when in melting point or above temperature, oxidation conditions in ultraviolet ray and under the action of polymerization are likely to happen.

 Acrylamide (or acrylic amide) is a chemical compound .Its IUPAC name is prop-2-enamide. It is a white odourless crystalline solid, soluble in water, ethanol, ether, and chloroform. Acrylamide is incompatible with acids, bases, oxidizing agents, iron, and iron salts. It decomposes non-thermally to form ammonia, and thermal decomposition produces carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, and oxides of nitrogen.
Most acrylamide is used to synthesize polyacrylamides, which find many uses as water-soluble thickeners. These include use in wastewater treatment, gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE), papermaking, ore processing, and the manufacture of permanent press fabrics. Some acrylamide is used in the manufacture of dyes and the manufacture of other monomers.
