Working Principle of Screw filter press

The filter cylinder is composed of fixed rings, moving rings and screw shaft. Each moving ring locates between fixed rings. The diameter of moving rings is slightly smaller than outer diameter of screw. And its thickness is a little narrower than the space between fixed rings. Driven by the screw shaft, moving rings are pushed up and down. As a result, moving rings clean sludge out of space between fixed rings continuously and keep equipment working well from clogging.
