GRP pipe
Introduction:
GRP pipe is a kind of composite material pipe, take the resin as the main material, glass fiber as the reinforced material, and quartz sand as the filling material. The GRP pipe is good at anti-corrosion, easy to install, light weight, so that it is the first choice of Chemical industry and drainage engineering.
The GRP pipe including four layers: Lining layer, transition layer, sand layer, protection layer.
1,The lining layer: also called Anti-seepage, anti corrosion layer. In seepage control, corrosion protection plays a key role. It is made from 90% resin and 10% glass fiber felt. The thickness is 1.5-2.5mm, depends on the pressure and diameters of the pipe.
2, Transition layer: this layer is made of 2 layers of glass fiber felt and 75±5% resin. It’s function is prevent capillary generate in the pipe wall during production.
3, sand layer: this layer is fiber winding layer, it is the key to product strength. The resin is about 30±5%. In order to improve the pipe’s stiffness, add the quartz sand in this layer, its thickness according to the external conditions. Its thickness according to the circumstances of loading external force
4, Protection layer. : also called outside protection layer. This layer is the outermost layers of the pipe, it is made from 100% resin, the function if prevent of corrosion by the corrosive material under the soil, this layer has the Toughening agent, inhibitor, to Anti-aging, increase service life. The thickness is 0.25-0.5mm.

1, Excellent corrosion resistance performance:
The FRP pipes adopt the quality anti corrosion resin, withstand the erosion of acid, alkali, salt water untreated sewage, soil corrosion and many chemicals or groundwater.
2, Heat resisting cold resistant performance is good:
Still has good toughness and high strength under -30deg temperature, the temperature scale -50℃-80℃.
3, Excellent wear resistance
FRP pipe’s wear-resisting performance is very good. Test: pipes fillings with the water which contains a lot of mud, sand, rotating 30 0000 round, check the wall wearing depth: steel pipes lost 0.53mm, Hardening treatment steel pipe lost 0.48mm, GRP pipe lost 0.21mm. We can see that the GRP pipe’s anti wear effect is perfect.
4,Heat preservation performance optimization
Because of the low coefficient of thermal conductivity of the GRP pipes, so the heat preservation performance is very good
5, The proportion of small, light quality
The specific gravity of the GRP pipe is 1.65 to 2.0, only 1/4 of the steel, but the ring tensile strength is 180-300Mpa, axial tensile strength of 60-150Mpa, approximate alloy steel.
