Galvanized Gabion Mesh/Gabion Wire Mesh Box From Anping

The gabion basket is a rectangular woven wire mesh box. Its strength lies in its double twisted hexagonal mesh of steel wire which is reinforced by selvedges of heavier wire running along the edges and by transverse diaphragms.

   gabion basket is made of 3 kinds of wires: mesh wire, edge wire, lacing wire(tie wire)

       mesh wire diameter: 2-4mm

       edge wire: 2.5-5mm

       lacing wire: 2.2mm(most popular), 3%, 5%, 8% of weight

Wire diameter varies with the surface treatment. For gabion baskets with no pvc coating, the wire diameter ranges from 2.0mm to 4.0mm. For the PVC coated gabion baskets, the outside diameter ranges from 3.0mm to 4.0mm. The edge wire of the frame is 1 wire gauge thicker than the wire used for hexagonal basket.

Gabion Rock Specifications

According to AS2758.4-2000 recommendation, the minimum rock size shall be 100mm and the maximum rock size shall be 250mm.  The rock shall be dense, hard, durable stone resistant to weathering actions of air and water.
