Clinoptilolite (from the Heulandite group) is the most common and suitable natural zeolite type for commercial and industrial applications. More than 90% of the world's zeolite production is clinoptilolite.

Clinoptilolite Zeolite (aluminum silicate) is a natural volcanic mineral, a micro porous inorganic mineral with an open, stable, three dimensional honeycomb structure negatively charged. The structure loosely holds cations (negatively charged ions) which are available for exchange.
