Sunflower (latin. Helianthus, Engl. Sunflower). The birthplace of Sunflower is North America, and the first who cultivated it were ancient Indians. Nowadays it is grown in different countries of the world, the leaders of which are Ukraine, Russia and the United States. Currently there are more than 100 types of this culture, the most common of them - oilseed sunflower, confectionary sunflower.
Confectionary sunflower is a large-seeded form of oil sunflower with special characteristics and quality of seed pods (kernel color, size, separability, husk thickness, etc.). Size options is a mass of 1000 seeds. For confectionary grade it should be not less than 100 g.
