Thanks to cytisin alkaloid "Stop tobacco" has n-cholinomimetic action; stimulates ganglia of the vegetative nervous system, reflexively stimulates the respiratory center, promotes release of adrenaline and increase of blood pressure. At the close similarity to nicotine’s action mechanism, cytisin has much lower toxicity and higher therapeutic index.
