 Alphonso is generally referred to as 'Hapus' in Maharashtra and Gujarat, and is used to make sweets, candies and smoothies and mango drinks using Alphonso mango pulp.

 Alphonso mangoes are rich to golden yellow in color, considered the tastiest of mango varieties and have a warm and sweet taste. Sometimes, the taste may be pleasantly tart. This fruit is one of the richest sources of Vitamin A and C.
