Organic incan berries, also known as golden berries or goldenberries, grow on the Physalis Peruviana. The Physalis Peruviana is a perennial plant that is a member of the nightshade family and native to the Amazon regions of South America. Organic incan berries are a potent superfood and superfruit packed with protein. The fruit is a smooth yellow berry and has a diameter of around 1–2 cm. The taste can best be described as sweet on the outside and crammed with crunchy, citrus flavour seeds on the inside. This combination results in its trademark bittersweet taste. Incan berries are usually available in the form of a dried fruit, which look similar in appearance to sultanas.
