How Does Micro Needling Work?

The procedure itself involves using what is known as a derma roller. This is a small handheld device that is literally rolled across the skin. The device has a large number of precision surgical steel needles that are spaced very tightly together. The needles are designed to create micro- injury, sufficient enough to induce the release of growth factors, and stimulate collagen/elastin production, leaving epidermal barrier fully intact. Resulting micro-channels also aid in infusing therapeutic serums for greater penetration and increasing overall efficacy.
