Rolling Instructions: Micro Needle Derma roller

1. Wash your hands and the area to be treated thoroughly.
2. Wipe the skin and your hands with anti-bacterial gel (you can skip this step if you are using needle lengths of less than 0.5mm).
3. If you are using numbing cream, follow the manufacturer`s instructions for use. Always remove the cream completely before rolling (you can use cotton pads soaked with alcohol to do this).
4. Rinse the derma roller under hot running water for a few seconds.
5. Apply skin care product, if using.
6. Whilst pulling the skin taut with your free hand, roll forwards and backwards over the area to be treated. Roll 8-10 times in each direction: vertically, horizontally and diagonally (forwards and back equals two rolls). Apply sufficient pressure for the needles to penetrate the skin to their full length. Lift the derma roller slightly after each roll - this will ensure that the needles create new micro-channels in the skin rather than going over the same ones repeatedly.
7. Wash treated area and dry with a clean towel or air-dry.
8. Apply skin care product, if using.

* Does microneedling hurt?
Numbing cream for painless microneedlingThe needles on the dermaroller and dermastamp are long

enough to assist in the penetration of your skin care product, but will not damage the skin or scalp in

any way.After dermarolling is normal for the skin or skin or scalp to be a little sensitive and appear

reddish (similar to sunburn).Using dermaroller up to needle size 0.5 mm will not be painful. However

if you plan using dermaroller with needle size 0.75 mm or longer we recommend numbing your skin

before microneedling.Different body areas are not with same sensitivity – facial areas tend to need

numbing with smaller dermaroller needle length, other body areas like thighs may not require numbing.

*Does microneedling cause color changes or hyper-pigmentation of the skin?

Discoloration is rare and may be occurring usually if very long needle size (1.5 mm and longer) dermaroller is used too frequently by causing inflammation in skin (permanent irritation & inflammation in skin is one

possible cause factor for hyper.pigmentation).Old collagen fibers break down as you roll, and if the skin

tone is uneven, this may also look like changes in color in patches, but this is temporary. New skin color

also comes to the skin naturally as you roll, such as healthy glow, as pores are cleaned out and new

collagen grows.If the discoloration of the skin makes you worried you can use Vitamin C based skin care

products to brighten your skin for more even & glowing skin tone.

* Does the dermaroller damage the skin?
Tiny traces of the microneedles are closed within hoursNo, there have been no reports of side effects

with the roller. The dermaroller penetrates the top skin layer, where tiny needles form infiltration channels

for a short time.This does not remove the protective barrier of your skin – these tiny channels are closed

in hours after the microneedling.There is no permanent damage caused to the skin during microneedling.

The microinjuries created by the dermaroller will trigger your skin to renew itself, making your skin more

healthy & youthful.

* How should I use the dermaroller?

With your free hand hold the skin, putting it under some slight tension. Place the dermaroller on the

skin and roll with a constant movement to the end of the skin area. Roll two or three times over the

same spot back and forth over the skin and in different directions.

*Do I need to disinfect dermaroller after every use?

Yes. It’s essential to keep your roller in a clean and disinfected condition.1st Rinse dermaroller under

hot running water for 1 minute.2nd Place it gently (!) into cup filled with disinfecting alcohol (let it soak

for 15 minutes).3rd Take dermaroller out and place it on paper towel & let air dry.4th Once air-dried,

place dermaroller to storing box until next use.Never share your dermaroller with another person due

to probable cross contamination.

*Can I treat my face and arms with the dermaroller?

All areas of the face, neck, and body can be treated.You shouldn’t use dermaroller only on your lips

and eyelids (the skin there is very thin & you risk damaging your eye with dermaroller needles).

*Can I use the skin roller on my face if I have active acne breakouts?

No, don’t use dermaroller in active breakout areas, it will make the acne spread.

*How long does it take to see results with the dermaroller?

Microneedling results & skin healing results are very individual. It’s impossible to give a definite time

frame for results. However, after microneedling, you will notice changes in your skin in first weeks after

the treatment as the skin renews itself and collagen regrows.Skin renewal triggered by dermaroller

usually takes about 28 days to occur, in this time you should start seeing improvement in the appearance

of your skin.Visible skin improvement can continue for up to twelve months following a treatment series.

Skin will appear firmer, more refined, smoother and more rejuvenated, and the luminosity of the complexion

will improve.
