What is coolshape?

Coolshape is a new, non-invasive, freezes and naturally removes fat, it utilizes an advanced cooling technology known as Cryolipolysis™ to selectively target and cool the fat cells creating the bulges It works by pressing a specially designed applicator cup against the targeted area. This device uses a gentle vacuum pressure to draw tissue between cooling panels. The cold permanently damages the unwanted fat cells. Several days after the fat removal procedure, the targeted fat cells begin a process called “apoptosis” and start to shrink. The body slowly absorbs these damaged fat cells, eliminating them naturally through the liver.

How does coolshape work?

Coolshape uses precisely controlled, cooling is applied through the skin to the fat layer, targeted cold therapy in a treatment that lasts about one hour per treatment area. The skin to be treated is suctioned a applicator which modify the fat's temperature to suitable for the patient, Energy is extracted from the fat cell by the cold, causing it to die.

Coolshape temperature control range is from -15°c to +50°c, accuracy rating is 0.1℃. For example, you can set treating temperature as 3.9℃, also can set as 3.8, 3.7 or 3.6℃,the error range between treating skin temperature and setting temperature is within 0.1℃.

How Cold is CoolShape? 

A study looked at the temperature of the skin surface and the fat at a point 1.5cm below the surface during a 60 minute CoolShape application.The skin surface dropped in temperature steadily during the 60 minutes until it was at an average of 12.3c/54f (+/ 2.6c).The underlying fat temperature dropped for the first 30 minutes to around 13c/55f then cooled more slowly for the final 30 minutes to around 10c/50f. It's interesting to note that the skin temperature was warmer than the underlying fat. 

Will treating the distance be painful?

A 2014 study showed an average of 7mm reduction in fat thickness two months after a single treatment (about 1.4oz/40g). A 2012 study of CoolShape showed an average reduction of about 4mm after two months. A second treatment had a lower reduction of an additional 1-2mm. Another study conducted between 2009 and 2012 of 518 patients showed an average of 23% reduction in fat thickness measured by calipers.
