Intense Pulse Light is a method for the defi nitive treatment of excess hair, or more precisely, unwanted hair. It is a strong light beam with a specific wavelength. The hairs are exposed to the pulse light for only a fraction of a second. An amount of light (=energy) is absorbed by the pigment in the hair. The pulse light adapts itself to the thickness of the hair. The pigment heats up, transmits the heat to the root and burns it.
