Hammer Mill is suitable for milling raw material like tree branch, cotton stalk, corn stalk, wheat straw etc with size less than 50mm(diameter). After milled, the output size can reach diameter 3-5mm , which is suitable for further briquetting.

 

Working Principle of Hammer Mill:

 

Hammer mill is a machine whose purpose is to shred material into fine particles. A hammer mill is eassentially a steel drum containing or horizontal cross-shaped rotor on which pivoting hammers are mounted. The hammers are free to swing on the ends of the cross. The rotor is spun at a high speed inside the drum while material is fed into a feed hopper. The material is impacted by the hammers on the ends of the rotating cross and thereby is shredded and explled through screens in the drum.

 

Operation Principle:

 

Hammer mill crushes by the collisions between high-speed hammer and material, and the hammer mill has the features of simple structure, high reduction ratio, high efficiency. When the hammer mill works, the motor drives the rotor to rotate at a high speed through the belt, and on the rotor there are series of hammers. When the materials get into the working area of hammers, the rotating hammers with high rotation speed are crushing them, the crushed products meeting the required size can be discharged by the outlet and become the final products, the large size products are brought back to the crushing area by the hammers for being re-crushed until they reached the required size.
