Product feature of capacitive water level sensor
With capacitance as the sensing element, FLS sensor series continuously detects the
fuel level with resolution less than 1mm. Sensor length can be trimmed to fit tanks of
varying heights. It serves as an excellent solution for GPS fuel tracking applications
with its high resolution. With a wide range of power input ,and easily adjustable length
the FLS is easy to setup and works for a wide range of application .

Length adjustment and calibration of capacitive water level sensor
Calibration of the capacitive water level sensor
Calibration of the fuel sensor is calibration the full level and empty level .The fundamental principle is to record a full value and empty value in the fuel sensor when tank is full and empty ;The purpose is to define the position level of the fuel when it is full and empty in the tank.The electrical signal changes as the fuel level changes ,calculating the height of the fuel level .
Note:
When the fuel sensor is shortened ,it needs to be calibrated .Calibration to empty level and full level is related to the medium and the liquid level ,instead of volume of the tank ;this operation
can be operated in room (make a container ,simulate a full fuel tank by filling the container full ).First ,calibrate full level ,then the empty level ,or else the sensor could not enter the setting mode .
Calibration of full level
Fill the tank to desired full level ,put the sensor into the tank ,wait for about 30 seconds until the aluminum tube of sensor was filled with fuel,then press and hold on the "F"button on the calibrator for 5 seconds till the green LED light slowly flickers .This indicates that calibration for full level is in progress .Release the "F"button at this moment .The green LED light will turn off in about 10 seconds ,indicating that the calibration of the full level is comlete .
Calibration of empty level
Remove the sensor from the container /tank .After liquid fully drains from the sensor ,press and hold on the "E"button for about 5 seconds until the green LED light starts to flicker fast .This indicates that calibration for empty level is in progress .Release the "E"button at this moment .The gree LED light will turn off ater about 10 seconds ,indicating that calibration of the empty level is complete .

1.When need to use calibrator ?
After you cut it ,if you never cut it ,no need calibrate .
2.How to calibrate it ?
Press the full or empty button till the lamp flash one time ,release the button wait 5 seconds ,
then finish calibration .
3. Can I use it with gps tracker?
Yes, it support any gps tracker with 0-5v analog input RS232/RS485 input . If RS232 interface, the gps tracker need to do integration with our sensor protocol.
4. Which is the gps tracker list it support?
Any gps tracker with 0-5v analog input and RS232/RS485 input . such as A300, VT310, MVT400, MVT600 and etc.
5. What is the resolution?
0.1%FS. If multiple with section area, we can conclude the liter resolution, normally
less than 1 liter for vehicle tank.
6. Can we measure the liter changing with it?
Yes, create one map between level and liter, then can draw liter changing.
7. Why is it expensive than other floating sensor?
Because capacitance is more stable and higher resolution than floating sensor.
So do not compare with different type of sensor. Just compare with other capacitance sensor,
our will be the most cost-effective one.
8. Do you have support for integration with our application?

9. Is it safe for using with gasoline?
Sure, we have ExtdIIT certification.
10. Can we cut short to adopt our tank?
No, it does not support user cutting short. We have another model FLS-700 support customer free cutting .
