FAQ
Can I damage the pan with metal utensils?
As with anything, you can mark it with metal. This will not affect it's non-stick quality, but it will mark it's appearance. As with anything of value and quality, treat your pan with care and respect so that it maintains its attractive appearance for years to come. If you do mark it with a metal utensil though, it will still perform as specified so this is not covered under the warranty.
Can I put them in the oven?
Yes, both the lids and handles are safe for the oven, up to 500 degrees.
Can the non-stick coating come off into the food?
No, there is no coating on the pan. It is a layer of Titanium, so flaking is really not an option. But for conversation sake, if it did come off into your food, Titanium is totally inert in the human body and would simply pass through. It is not a toxic substance at all.
How do I clean the pan?
An example of an appropriate scrubber would be the 3M Scotch Bright sponge on one side, green scour on the other. Do not use steel wool, stainless steel or copper scrubbers. Scrub it good with the green side of this, with soap. You won't hurt it. You want to get anything that is in the crevices cleaned out…
It is NOT recommended to clean it in the dishwasher, however, the manufacturer says it is okay.
As with any surface, traces of use can become visible with time on the surface of your cookware. However, this does not influence the cooking characteristics.
How should I store my pans?
To store your cookware, simply place the lid upside down on the pot and stack as required. Pay special attention to ensure that the knobs do not touch the cooking surface. Should the knob and the cooking surface be in close proximity (as with the more shallow frying pans), simply place a paper towel on the cooking surface prior to placing the upside down lid into place. We sell felt squares as well, that are nice for stacking/protecting. You should never leave food overnight in your cookware.
