Brief introduction of Aluminum Clad Steel Wire/Strand
The product Aluminum Clad Steel Wire/Strand is used for the cord of ACSR/AW,OPGW,messenger wire, overhead ground wire, static wire and guy wire. Being the leading enterprise of this industry, the Aluminum Clad Steel Wire/Strand manufactured by Henan Tong-da has excellent mechanical property, best quality of coating and nice condition of surface.
Properties:
1.Superior corrosion resistance compared with traditional galvanized conductor cores
2. Ideal for coastal environments or industrial zones with corrosion concerns
3.Higher strength to weight ratio than galvanized cores
4.Outer aluminum cladding is fully compatible with alloy wires used in conductors
5. ACS similar tensile strength as Guy Wire but has superior corrosion resistance and enables much higher conductivity if needed.
Applications:
1.Specified by power utilities for use in overhead transmission line conductors
2.Used by conductor manufacturers as the strength member for ACSR and ACSS cables
3.Replaces galvanized, aluminized or misch metal cores when corrosion is a concern
4.Messenger Wire, Overhead Ground or Static Wire, Guy Wire.
Construction:
1.Aluminium clad steel wire/strand is composed of round reinforced steel and uniform aluminium layer outside.
2.Aluninium clad steel strand is composed of stranded aluminium clad steel wires.
Conductivity:
14%,20.3%,23%,27%,30%,35%,40% IACS
The Aluminum Clad Steel Wire Range: 2.1-5.5mm
