ACAR/AACSR/ACSR/AW OVERHEAD CONDUCTOR
USD $0.1 - $99 /Ton
Min.Order:1 Ton
ACAR
APPLICATIONS:
Used as bare overhead transmission cable and as primary and secondary distribution cable. A good strength-to-weight ratio makes ACAR applicable where both ampacity and strength are prime considerations in line design; for equal weight, ACAR offers higher strength and ampacity than ACSR.
SPECIFICATIONS:
ACAR bare conductor meets or exceeds the following ASTM specifications:
• B230 Aluminum 1350-H19 Wire for Electrical Purposes.
• B398 Aluminum-Alloy 6201-T81 Wire for Electrical Purposes.
• B524 Concentric-Lay-Stranded Aluminum Conductors, Aluminum-Alloy Reinforced (ACAR, 1350/6201).
CONSTRUCTION:
Aluminum 1350-H19 wires, concentrically stranded around aluminum-alloy 6201-T81 core. Although the alloy strands generally comprise the core of the conductor, in some constructions they are distributed in layers throughout the aluminum1350-H19 strands.
AACSR
Application:
Aluminum Alloy Conductor Steel Reinforced is widely used in power transmission lines with various voltage levels.
It can be used as large span conductor, heavy ice wire or overhead communications wire, ground wire.
The temperature for continuous use can be up to 90°C,heat-resistance AACSR can be up to 150°C and above. It has high current carrying capacity, variable steel core stranding enables the designed strength to be achieved without sacrificing ampacity.
Construction:
(1)AACSR is a concentrically stranded conductor composed of one or more layers of 6201 -T81 aluminum alloy wire stranded with a high-strength coated steel core. The core may be single wire or stranded depending on the size.
(2)The proportions of aluminum alloy and steel can be varied to obtain the relation between current carrying capacity and mechanical strength best suited to each application.
(3)Core wire for AACSR is available with Class A, B or C-galvanized; "aluminized" (AZ): or aluminum clad (AW).
(4)Additional corrosion protection is available through the application of grease to the core or infusion of the complete cable with grease.
ACSR-AW
APPLICATIONS:
Used as bare overhead transmission and as primary and secondary distribution cable.
It has good characteristics such as simple structure, convenient installation and maintenance, low cost for the line, large transmission capacity. It is also suitable for laying across rivers and valleys where special geographical features exist.
ACSR/AW offers strength characteristics similar to ACSR, along with slightly greater ampacity and resistance to corrosion due to aluminum-cladding of the steel core wires.
SPECIFICATIONS:
ACSR/AW bare conductor meets or exceeds the following ASTM specifications:
• B230 Aluminum 1350-H19 Wire for Electrical Purposes.
• B502 Aluminum-Clad Steel Core Wire for Use in Overhead Electrical Aluminum Conductors.
• B549 Concentric-Lay Stranded Aluminum Conductors, Aluminum-Clad Steel Reinforced (ACSR-AW)
CONSTRUCTION:
Aluminum 1350-H19 wires, concentrically stranded around aluminum-clad steel core.
