AAC ---All aluminium conductor
The all aluminium conductor is a kind of aluminum product made through stranding aluminum 1350 wires. It is used for the electricity transmission and distribution lines with short span length and small load-carrying capacity of the pole. The AAC provides reliable performance for overhead power transmission and distribution lines. This strand covers hard drawn circular aluminum wires for electric purposes to be used as component of hard drawn aluminum stranded cables and aluminum conductor steel reinforced.
1.Application
The AAC conductor is used for the electricity transimission and distribution lines with short span length and small load-carrying capacity of the pole. The AAC provides reliabale performance for overhead power transmission and distribution lines.
2.Construction
AAC is a concentric-lay-stranded conductor consisting of aluminum 1350 wires avaliable both in single layer or multi-layer constrction.
3.Standard
AAC bare conductors meet or exceed the following ASTM specifications:
B-230 Aluminum Wire, 1250-H19 for Electrical Purposes
B-231 Aluminum Conductors, Concentric-Lay-Stranded
B-400 Compact Round Concentric-Lay-Stranded Aluminum 1350 Conductors
4.Properties
AAC has a good corrosion resistance due to being composed out of aluminum wires only, it has low price,
minimum conductivity of 61.2% IACS low breaking strength and high creep values. AAC has the highest
conductivity per weight among all bare overhead conductors.
