Description
The 1310nm DFB Optical Transmitter PTT3302H series are single-slot function modules for the PTP3001_H
optical transmission platform. It is designed to meet the requirements for metropolitan HFC access network.
Compact mechanical design enables network operators to install up to 12 transmitters per 4U chassis, all of which
can be monitored remotely through Ethernet interface or locally through the chassis front panel.
The optical transmitter PTT3302H is used in the HFC network for the transport of video and data. The models
of optical output powers ranging from 2~31mW are available.
The PTT3302H can work under the low RF input. There are two RF input ports and two RF testing ports:one
Main input for broadcast, the other Auxiliary input for narrowcast RF input. One testing input is- 20dB power down
from the main RF inputs, the other RF testing port named OMI testing port is monitoring the RF signal into the
laser power level. The Built-in advanced pre-distortion circuitry is used to achieve superior CSO and CTB
performance.
Each transmitter module has a MCU to monitor or control the status of the unit, such as optical power, bias
current, LD temperature and cooling current etc. in order to operate and maintain easily. The data will be saved in
the NVM as a default factory setting.
User can select AGC/MGC mode and several sub-modes for different applications, such as AGC Preset, AGC
Adjustable, AGC Equalization. AGC mode has two status of CW and video, AGC references point can be
adjusted by the user to meet different channel loading and system requirements. Users are free to change the
factory pre-adjusted OMI by up to +5 / -5 dB in steps of 0.5 dB and/or to use the PTT3302H in AGC mode. The
default factory setting is AGC Preset mode.
