1. Quality

Almost the same, print result looks different, different RIP.

2. Efficiency

DX7 can take higher voltage, which means the ink drop is relatively smaller and 10% faster speed.

3. Cost

DX7 cost much lower than DX5. Not to mention unencrypted DX5 is no longer produced, the

second encrypted is done. We also have enough storage for several years.

4. About encryption, since epson has encrypted its head. There are several versions DX5/7 heads.

a. First unencrypted head. Expensive. It can be directly used on large format printer.

b. Encrypted head for first time. Relatively cheap.

c. Encrypted head for second time. Unrecognizable and can not be used at this moment.
