About This Fabric

All chemical agents can affect the human body in one way or another. Our hands are damaged after prolonged exposure to water, let alone acids and alkalis, so you need to be protected in case splash happens when working around corrosive liquid chemicals. In the mean time, you need to be able to move around easily and remain comfortable so as not to sacrifice your productivity.

Drotex®’s anti-chemical splash fabric are unique in that they increase both comfort and durability without sacrificing the protection demands and breathable comfort.

FR Treatment

Fabrics that are treated with a flame retardant chemical to make them flame-resistant. The fibers used in these fabrics, such as cotton are not normally considered protective and become flame-resistant of the treatment.

Drotex®’s FR treatment includes an ultra-low formaldehyde solution, and are nearly free from harsh chemicals.

Because of the presence of static dissipative fiber, antistatic performance of this fabric is not dependent on ambient relative humidity. It is important to know that this fabric is designed to combat nuisance static only. It should not be used in critical static control applications.

Quality Control

Drotex® FR fabrics are only sent to customers after being strictly tested and inspected for quality, durability and flame resistance to make sure they meet or exceed the standards for flame resistance.

In an enclosed cabinet, 12-inch long fabric specimen is vertically suspended in a holder with the fabric restrained on three sides. A controlled flame is impinged on the bottom cut edge of the fabric for 12 seconds. The flame is extinguished at the end of 12 seconds and three sets of data are recorded:
