Because of the presence of static dissipative fiber, antistatic performance of this fabric is not dependent on ambient relative humidity. It is important to know that this fabric is designed to combat nuisance static only. It should not be used in critical static control applications.

Aramid Inherently FR Fabric for Protective Apparel

Aramid is a material similar to nylon, but with added durability and enhanced flame resistance.

Aramid fibers have an excellent heat-resistant property and are widely used for protective apparel such as fire-fighter uniforms and racing suits.

This high strength, non-conducting and flame retardant material is perfect for many of your commercial and industrial needs. It does not melt and only begins to decompose at a temperature of 700 degrees and is unaffected by most acids. It does incur some strength loss after lengthy exposure to hydrochloric, nitric and sulfuric acids. Whether you use it for protective apparel, interior decorating, insulation, or any other of its wide variety of industrial uses, it is a high quality, strong material that will resist the damage of alkalis, mold and mildew. 

The combination of Meta-Aramid and Para-Aramid creates a fabric that is comfortable, while also offering a superior level of flame resistance and abrasion resistance for your workforce.

Fabrics made from synthetic fibers such as aramid whose flame resistance is an essential characteristic of the fiber chemistry. The flame-resistant property of these fabrics can not be removed by wear or laundering.

Washing Tips

Protective apparel made by this fabric should be washed using soft water(<1.5 grain(25ppm)). Hard water can affect cleaning and contains mineral salts that can form insoluble deposits on the fabric. These deposits can negate the flame resistant characteristics of the garment, and may serve as fuel if garments are exposed to an ignition source.

For best color retention, laundry processing should be carried out at 60℃ or less in buffered, nonionic detergent laundering will only affect the color, not the FR performance of the apparel.

Protective apparel made by this fabric may be dry cleaned in either perchloroethylene or petroleum solvents. They may be conditioned or tunnel finished at up to 138℃ fabric temperature.
