Pyrovatex® was developed by the Swiss based company Ciba. Pyrovatex® provides maximum protection against heat and flame combined with superior comfort at a very affordable price. This FRC material is treated cotton and it retains it's softness and breathability with the added bonus of the ability to wick moisture away from the skin.

Pyrovatex® cloth is excellent for those with sensitive skin. The fabric is gentle and non-irritating. It has been laboratory tested using live subjects with particularly sensitive skin.

Since the cotton material treatment process with Pyrovatex® is absorbed into the cotton fibers, with proper care; the garment will retain its flame retardant properties beyond the useful life of the garment. The treatment process leaves the exterior surface soft and shiny.
