Ⅰ.The working principle of hydrocyclone

     Hydrocyclone is a tapered container with cylinder. The upper part of cone is called sapcavity. The outboard of the cone has a fluid pipe, which connects the sapcavity in the tangent direction. The top of container is overflow mouth, the bottom of it is underflow mouth (also called discharging mouth).A hollow pipe is from the top into the sapcaviry along the tangent of hydrocyclone, the pipe is called overflowing pipe, also called cyclone direction finder. Internal pipe is overflowing channel, the slurry will overflow and discharge from it. The dimension will be decided by the max inner diameter.

    Under the function of the hydrocyclone, the cone will form a low pressure area and air column, create the vacuum and play a role in suction. The light slurry will be discharged from the top mouth, and the heavy particles will throw to the barrel wall and glide along the wall, at last be discharged from the bottom mouth.

II. Application

Recently years, the polyurethane hydrocyclone is widely used in petroleum exploitation, non-ferrous, black and non-metallic classification work and many other departments. It can take off the mud and water from the slurry material. It is one of the important equipments of taking off sand or mud device in the oil field, classification work and tailing damming, dealing with and recovery the coal slurry in the coal field.
