Product Description

     The Transmitter series single mode transceiv ers is small form fa ctor pluggable module

for bi-directional serial optic al data communications such a s  SONET OC-48 / SDH STM-16, 

Gigabit Ethernet 1000BA SE-ZX and Fiber Chan nel 1X /2X SM-LC-L FC- PI. It is with  the SFP

20-pin connector to allow hot plug capability. Th is module is designed for single mode fiber and

operates at a nominal wavelength .  A guarantee d minimum optical link budget of 18 dB is offered. 

    The transmitter section u ses a multiple quantum  well CWDM DFB laser and is a class 1 laser 

compliant according to In ternational Safety St andard IEC-60825. The receiver section uses an

integrated In GaAs detector pr eamplifier (IDP) mo unted in a n opt ical hea der and a limiting

post-amplifier IC.
