Functions:

Push button at the bottom of the base ,first time is fast blinking light .Second time slow light .Third time steady light .Fourth time off .

For changing the batteries :

Gently pull apart BASE away from the glass . Unscrew 2 screws to remove the light-board.Turn upside down and replace the 3 batteries by sliding them out with the screw-driver. Then repeat the process to reverse to complete.
