LNJP Series Silicon Jet Pulverizer is a new dedicated mill for silicon metal, designed according to its processing requirements of coarse particles and high throughput.
Our special product line of new silicon metal powder jet mill mainly has the advantages of high throughput, small tool wear, and low maintenance requirements, high product purity and clean production environment etc.
LNJP-960A New Jet Mill adopts the latest design concept of controllable grinding, which has been successfully used in glass beads grinding. Our glass beads dedicated new jet mill has become the only choice of this industry.

Comparative advantages:
1. High throughput yield
Our new jet mill has uniform grinding flow field, and it makes the materials speed up to the same strength. In this situation, only after once collision, the qualified powder can be quickly classified. It reduces the time materials staying in grinding chamber, therefore avoiding over-grinding and promoting the rate of finished products.
Producing products of 40~120 mesh (+40≤25%,-120 mesh≤10%), yield rate is≥87%;producing products of 40~325 mesh (+40≤1%,-325≤1%), the yield rate is ≥85%.
Other mechanic grinding machine don’t have uniform force field; particles need several times of collision in grinding chamber; parts of qualified particles can not be discharged timely which leads to over-grind; the yield rate is low due to the increase of over-grind powder; the controlling and adjusting methods of mechanic grinder are limited, usually the grinding strength is adjusted by changing the rotating speed of the grinding machine; easy-wear and has strong impact on the yield rate and particle size distribution.
2. Sifting
Our new jet mills are equipped with integrated efficient turbo classifier, fine powder are sorted out by the turbo classifier after being ground, the finished product and the coarse particles are then sifted, so that the material can easily sifted. This not only greatly improves the sifting efficiency and prolongs the service life of the screen, but also ensures the sifting net rate of the material. Since little fine powder is contained in the screening powder, there’s a small chance of fine powder blowing in the sifting process, having a clean production environment.
Mechanical mill ground particles have mixed particle size; coarse powder and fine powder are mixed together. Fine powder will easily adhere to coarse particles in sifting process, difficult to be sieved. The long residence time materials staying on the screen will increase wear to the screen. Thus sifting efficiency is relatively low and blowing dust will be more in sifting process. And more over-grind fine powder adheres to the qualified particles, which will affect the product quality.
3. Wear-resistance and low maintenance costs
Our new jet mill uses airflow to be the grinding power, the device itself has no moving parts, and this greatly extends the life of the host grinding machine. Our LNJP-960A Silicon Metal Jet Mill has been applied in our customers’ production in recent two years, and so far the grinding parts haven’t been changed. Since minimal wear of the main grinding body, the equipment has long-term and stable operation with stable product quality. The main wearing part of new jet mill is turbo classifier wheel, but it can service for more than 1500 tons with easy and quick replacement.
For mechanical grinder, grinding is done by compacting and rolling the materials through a medium. The features of high hardness of silicon metal and its sharp-shape damage the equipment easily. Usually it needs replacement of spare parts every 3-5 days. This maintenance requires heavy workload and high cost of wearing parts; replacement is very time-consuming and affects production.
4. Product purity
Grinding of New Jet mill is finished through airflow, with minimal wear. It is wear-resistant and has high purity of products, no need of magnetic separation and acid clean.
Mechanical grinder uses a medium (hammer) to grind and impact materials in a high-speed. This makes the machine easily to be damaged. The impurities wearing down are naturally brought to the product, resulting in contamination of the product and increasing in iron content.
5. Particle shape
The products produced by our new jet mill have uniform and normal particle size distribution. The products are honeycomb-like through electron microscope with large surface area and very little over-grind powder adheres to the finished particles, which is conducive to the next production process.
The products of mechanical mill have uneven product particle size distribution. Particles’ shapes are platy or bar, and the surface is too smooth with small surface area. Because there’s no air classifier, the surface of the particles is adhered with the ultra-fine powder, which has certain impact on product quality.
6. No environmental pollution
Our new jet mill is operated under negative pressure, using the most advanced chambered-offline-pulse collector, without blowing powder throughout the production process. Production environment is clean, and no loss of fine powder.
There are lots of blowing powder in the production process of mechanical grinder, poor production environment, and large loss of silicon powder.
