Prepare Wall Surface
1  .Strip existing vinyl wall coverings before installing new ones.

2.Sand glossy paint using 80-grit sandpaper for maximum adhesion. Flat paint does not need to be sanded.

3.Fill holes or blemishes in the existing wall using drywall joint compound applied with a putty knife. Wait for the compound to dry, then sand the wall smooth using a

220-grit sandpaper.

4.Wipe the wall with a tack cloth to remove any sanding dust before proceeding to installation.

Install Vinyl Wall Coverings
1.Coat the wall with an acrylic or latex wall covering primer. Apply the primer using a paint brush or roller. Wait for the primer to dry completely.
2.Apply vinyl wall covering adhesive to the back of a sheet of vinyl wall covering using a wallpaper brush or short-napped roller. Press the paper against the wall and

use a utility knife to cut it as needed along the bottom edge to fit the wall.
3.Brush the wall covering with a wallpaper brush, starting in the middle and working out toward the edges to eliminate air pockets.
4.Repeat steps 1 through 3 to cover the entire wall or room. Roll seams with a seam roller for secure adhesion and to eliminate air bubbles.
5.Wipe excess adhesive from the surface of the paper as you work, using a sponge or rag.
