B) Wireless Access Point

WAP-348x wireless access point acts as a gateway between user applications and wireless vehicle detection network formed among  the WVD sensors installed on the road surface. WAP-348x manages the network and collects data from all the sensors, and on the other hand, provides data interface to traffic counting systems.

  1) Traffic Counting System

      To count traffic in a section of highway, we suggest to install one or two WVD in each lane with one WAP. WVD will detect all the vehicles that passed and send the data to WAP. For more information, please contact with Kelly.

Freeway applications

Data regarding the traffic including average speed, classification and the traffic volume during a day in different days can be known as main point for traffic counting system analysis and management. To achieve these data, there are differ rent approaches which one of them is ROSIM magnetic sensor who has lots of advantages to other sensors and devices.
There are various applications that are implemented by ROSIM sensor such as:
1-Class based counting in different hours
2-Speed detection for each class in different hours
3-High way occupancy in different hours

In this application there must be an AP and two sensors in 5-7 meters for each lane sending traffic data to central software as Real Time via IP connectivity. Parameters such as speed, class, occupancy, congestion and vehicle distance are the desirable outputs of the system.
The central software can achieve statics and analyses by current and past data received from the system.

Intersection application:
Traffic management system in intersection is one of the most vital issues in urban traffic management. The time for red and light status determination for each approach in intersection in daily hours, different traffic situation and reliable data from traffic situation in intersection are much helpful to reduce traffic volume.
In order to this, the red light intelligent controller is always high remarked for urban traffic management and this controllers make final decision based on vehicle presence detection on Real time mode as input to the controller.
