The function of   Overrunning Alternator Pulley OAP: With the growing emphasis on environment protection around the world ,the environmental performance of the car is been put forward higher requirements,energy saving,emission reduction has been become the subject of automotive development As the heart of a vehicle---------the engine,as a small displacement engine,in order to increase power,it must be achieved by increasing the explosive force of the engine.But the explosive increase in the engine ,will bring the engine output speed and torque non-uniform,the running of the front gear train system of the engine will be affected ,therefore,it`s necessary to deploy the overrunning Alternator Pulley (hereafter is OAP ) in the gear train system.Through the OAP application ,vibration wave can be eliminated ,to make the gear train running smoothly,and vibration damping and noise reduction.And it is the most economical and reliable choice to configure the OAP on the generator.To comply with the requirement of a smaller diaplacement and greater power of a vehicle engine ,some generator on the samll displacement engine needs to configure the OAP also,such as the 1.4TSI engine for vw.For large displacement engines,because of their own large moment of intertia of gear trains,it must need to configure the OAP. As the diesel engine ,the cylinder outbreak pressure is more higher than that of gasoline engine,its working stationary is even worse ,it can greatly enhance the work stationary of engine through applying the OAP.
