Copper clad aluminum wire (CAW)

Copper clad aluminum wire(hereafter called CAW) is produced by mechanically cladding rod of aluminum with copper tape.

CAW wire is composition material which has advantages of both copper and aluminum.

 

Feature:

• The weight is approximately 39% comparing to copper (15%CAW).
• Cheaper cost:
  The length of same weight is 2.5 times comparing to copper.
• Solderable
• Good reliability of connection
  No increasing resistance because of no aluminum oxide film.
  Connection method is same as copper wire.
