Samsung Electronics is set to unveil its new generation A1 series of CCTV cameras which will bring to themarket a new level of camera performance in terms of both image quality and user benefits. The A1 cameraseries are equipped with the all new Samsung Electronics A1 DSP (Digital Signal Processor) engine, whichhas been developed in house by Samsung Electronics to deliver increased image resolution, reduced picturenoise and provide enhanced contrast.

Diverse technologies are utilised in the A1 chipset, enabling the latest generation of Samsung Electronics' CCTV cameras to deliver performance technology including 'motion adaptive DNR'. This technology is the result of the utilisation of both 2D and 3D filters which reduce noise in the brightness of the image and noise caused by movement, providing a distinct and clear image under even the most demanding of lighting conditions.

The A1 engine also features XDR (eXtended Dynamic Range), which enhances the level of visible detaildisplayed in darker scene areas, whilst maintaining clear image reproduction in the brighter scene areas. Thistechnology is particularly useful in high contrast scenarios and in areas of strong backlight, SamsungElectronics says.

The built-in video content analysis features include 'object left', 'object removed' and tracking function tomonitor an object passing through a scene, generating an alarm in the event of abnormal directional changes.
