Half-tempered glass (heat-strengthened glass)

We adopt the techniques which is similar with that of tempered glass to produce half-tempered glass. The stress on its surface is a little bit less than that of tempered glass because the cooling rate slowed down. Obviously, half-tempered glass is better than plain annealed glass in terms of mechanical strength, the function of resistance to wind load, shock resistance and thermal shock resistance.

 

Performance and Characteristics

1. Two times stronger than plain annealed glass.
2. Good effect on resisting heat intension to avoid heat explosion of glass.
3. Once broken, half-tempered glass fragment will still on the frame instead of dropping.
4. Low-explosion rates.
5. More flat than tempered glass.
