Cenospheres are extracted from fly ash of the thermal power plants and main chemical composition
is aluminium silicate. They’re lightweight grey-white hollow microspheres in closed and smooth
surface.

Inview of the above characteristics, cenospheres are widely used in oil industry, such as oil well
cementing, pipeline anticorrision & thermal insulation, offshore oilfield, flotation gear, reducing
agent for oil drilling mud, oil & gas transmission pipeline. They can improve mud rheology,
reduce mud viscosity as well as increase the drilling lubricity.
