installation instructions:

Downtilt Mounting Kit for Panel Antennas

(1)Please following the steps below: place the antenna on the pole, and adjust the inclination of the antenna, then fasten the screw to the screw nut. The final structure is just like the pictures above.

(2)Place the four studs of the antenna through the holes on the shorter part of the L-shape clamp, then put on the flat washer,the spring washer and screw nuts successively.Then twist the nuts tightly.

(3)Put the end of the antenna with connectors downwards,and place the M6 U-shape screw through the pole whose outer diameter is 30~50mm ,the sawtooth clamp and L-shape clamp.Then put on the flat washers and screw nuts.Lastly,twist the nuts.

(4)Adjust the inclination of the antenna to the proper position to receive the best signal by switching the holes on the longer part of the L-shape clamp.Finally seal all the connections and twist all the nuts tightly.

The installation, maintenance, or removal of an antenna requires qualified, experience personnel. Ameison installation instructions are written for such installation personnel. Antenna systems should be inspected once a year by qualified personnel to verify proper installation, maintenance, and condition of equipment.

P.S.:

I have a weak signal in the area I live and want to increase signal strength to improve download speeds. What antenna should I use?

 

To find the best solution to increase throughput and signal speed with an antenna several dimensions should be considered.

(1)Indoor / outdoor:

---If you can mount it, a suitable outdoor antenna can deliver much better performance.

(2)Directional (panel, LPDA) or omnidirectional antenna:

---If you are in a remote area where the direction of the next base station can be clearly identified, it is best to use a directional antenna and align it with the base station.

----If you are in an (urban) area where there are different signal sources and/or you are working with different providers an omnidirectional antenna offers the better and more flexible solution.

(3)High or low gain:

---In general – the higher the gain the better. But gain correlates with size of an antenna so typically there are limits. Further, if you are in an area with very strong signal strengths, a lower gain antenna may work better.

(4)What about all the other antenna characteristics?

What is a MIMO Antenna?

A Multi-input Multi-output (MIMO) antenna is one that has two or more antennas in a single physical package.

The advantages of a MIMO antenna is that they offer significant range and throughput compared to traditional WiFi antennas while using the same transmit power. The IEEE 802.11n standard uses MIMO technology to increase performance, range, and reliability.

How do I choose the correct WiFi antenna?

The two main types of antennas are Omni-directional and directional. Omni-directional antennas radiate RF signal in a 360 degree pattern and directional antennas emit the RF signal in a focused beam similar to the headlight of a car. If your application is a point to point WiFi link like from one building to another you would use a Directional antenna. If you need to send the WiFi signal 360 degrees then you would use and Omni directional antenna. If you have a point to multi point application, such as a campus environment then you would use a combination of Omni directional and Directional antennas.
