4. Q: Do batteries self discharge when not in use?	A: Yes, all batteries self-discharge. The rate of discharge depends on the type of battery and the storage temperature.
5. Q: My new battery is not taking a charge, is it defective?	A: New batteries from the factory are in a slightly discharged condition and must be fully charged before use. It is recommended that you fully charge and discharge the new battery two to five times to allow it to reach its maximum rated capacity.
