      Silica gel is an amorphous form of SiO₂ and it has a porous molecular structure that closely resembles a sponge, and thus has super capacity for moisture adsorption. They are a colloidal form of silica which is chemically and biologically inert. It is crystalline and colorfully bright in appearance and safe for domestic use.

 Silica gel cat litter is a porous granular form of sodium silicate and has the highest absorbent of any cat  litter, and has excellent moisture and odor control.
