Shenzhen Kapok Water Treatment Equipment Tech Co., Ltd.
Closed vessel (pressurized) UV systems are typically installed after membrane bioreactors to prevent having to re-pump the effluent after UV treatment.
They are used to applied to large flow rate of clean/pure water, and small capacity of sewerage.
Depending on site and design conditions, wastewater treatment plant producing filtered effluent sometimes prefer a dissection solution using closed-vessel or pressurized UV reactors.
The KWE UV320 series offer an effective and energy-efficient closed-vessel UV solution. This compact reactor is available in multiple configurations to treat a wide range of flow rates. The streamlined closed-vessel systems disinfect filtered effluent without breaking head in the treatment process.
These benefits along with UV’s ability to provide environmentally-friendly, chemical-free treatment for chlorine resistant microorganisms (such as Cryptosporidium and Giardia) make the KWE UV closed-vessel solution an attractive option for wastewater disinfection.

Auto-Cleaning System Eliminates Sleeve Fouling
The auto-cleaning system provides superior sleeve cleaning and reduces maintenance costs. Fouling and residue build-up on quartz sleeves reduces system efficiency. Auto-cleaning maintains at least 95% transmittance, ensuring sleeves are clean and the system is consistently delivering accurate dosing while reducing power consumption. Cleaning occurs automatically while the lamps are disinfecting. There’s no need to shut down the system, remove or bypass lamp modules for routine cleaning.
Amalgam Lamps Require Less Energy
Our amalgam lamps produce significantly higher UV output than conventional low-output lamps; therefore fewer lamps are required to deliver the required dose, which reduces O&M costs. The high-efficiency lamps are validated to deliver 95% of full UV output after more than one year of use.
Advanced, Self-Contained UV Module
The electronic ballasts are housed right in the separate external cabinets cooled by convection, reducing the system footprint, minimizing installation time and costs, and eliminating the need of high repairing/maintenance cost. The ballast enclosures are rated IP65– air/water tight. The entire system can be installed outdoors to reduce capital costs - no building, shelter or HVAC is required.
Regulatory-Endorsed Bioassay Validation
The UV water treatment technology has been thoroughly validated through real-world bioassay testing under a wide range of operating conditions. In-field bioassay testing offers the peace of mind and improved public and environmental safety of verified dose delivery – not theoretical calculations.
KWE 320 series closed vessel UV systems are used to applied to large flow rate of clean/pure water, and small capacity of sewerage.

KWET is a 11-years-experienced manufacturer of water treatment equipment – Stainless Steel UV Sterilizers. In the past one decade of years, our products were well praised by above 110 customers in worldwide, because of the high quality, simple operation, reliable performance and low price. Each day, over 3000sets of our UV Sterilizers (or said Water UV Disinfection System) are running in thousands of projects, producing lines, plants, sewage plants, and families to keep water safe.
UV water disinfection is a proven technology that can keep water safety economically, easily and quickly.
KWE UV sytems feature low-pressure mercury discharge lamps. The lamps are constructed with a special quartz envelope material that looks like glass, but is actually a discriminating filter. This exclusive design allows predominantly 254nm UV energy to be transimitted into a water stream as it flows through the UV system's chamber.

1)-What’s UV?
UV, or ultraviolet light is a invisible electromagnetic radiation light. It carries more energy than visible light and can sometimes break bonds between atoms and molecules, altering the chemistry of materials exposed to it. This form of light - which is present in sunlight - can be beneficial to health, as it stimulates the production of vitamin D and can kill harmful microorganisms, but excessive exposure can cause sunburn and increase the risk of skin cancer. UV light has many uses, including disinfection, fluorescent light bulbs, and in astronomy.
2)- How does UV works for water disinfection?
Water is disinfected as it runs through a stainless steel chamber containing a UV lamp. As water flows past the lamp, illness-causing microorganisms receive a lethal dose of UV light that attacks their DNA and eliminates their ability to reproduce. Harmful bacteria and viruses are deactivated, and then water is safe.
UV water disinfection is a safe, chemical-free way to treat water. Even chlorine-resistant microorganisms are made harmless through UV exposure. Lack of chemicals means no harmful chemical byproducts are going back into the environment, and the taste of your water is not affected in any way.
3)- UV Technology and Water Treatment.
Ultraviolet (UV) light treatment is a widely recognized and proven method of disinfection of water. It is a physical treatment, not chemical, so it doesn't alter the water chemistry. UV doesn’t add color, odor, taste or flavor to the water and doesn’t generate harmful by-products. It only imparts energy to the water stream in the form of UV light to accomplish the process of disinfection, TOC reduction, ozone destruction or chlorine / chloramine destruction. UV disinfection produces no residual disinfectant to the finished water.
4)- Where can UV be used?
Everywhere! Ultraviolet (UV) disinfection of drinking water has been growing steadily in popularity, as people search for a chemical-free solution for ensuring their water is safe from microbiological contaminants.
Homes and cottages: This ensures clean, safe water is available at every tap in your home.
Camps, RVs, and boats: UV is a chemical-free solution to protect all outdoor water sources such as lake, well or an on-board supply.
Schools, daycares, eldercare and healthcare facilities: The young, the elderly, and those with compromised immune systems are among those most susceptible to infection. Water quality is subject to high standards. Offices and public buildings: It’s simply good business to ensure the quality and safety of the water provided for employees and visitors, from washrooms and drinking fountains, to water features.
Restaurants, hotels and resorts: Water quality enhances food and beverages, and water safety ensures your reputation.
Rainwater: More and more homeowners and organizations are opting to harvest rainwater as a private water source and disinfection of that water is required for potable uses.
