APP torch applied waterproofing membrane
Thickness, 2.0mm-5.0mm
Width, 1.0m
Length, 10.0m or 7.5m or 8.0m
Finished, PE film, mineral grain, fine sand, metal AL foil
This kind of waterproof coiled material is made in the following way: base materials are firstly dipped into asphalt or thermoplastic elastomer (e.g. SBS), thermoplastics (e.g. APP or APAO) and modifiedasphalt; then both surfaces are coated with elastomer or plastic asphalt; fine sands and mineral grains (pieces) or polyethylene memb ranes are spread or covered on its upper surface; fine sands or polyethylene membranes are spread or covered on its lower surface.
It has a good waterproof performance and aging-resistant capacity. It does not drip in high temperature, nor does break in low temperature. It is easy to use in construction, with no pollution to environmentbut a long service life.
It is widely used in waterproof and damp-proof works of roofs, basements, bathrooms and pools of industrial and civil architectures, waterproof, damp-proof, airproof, leakage-proof works of bridges, parking lots, swimming pools, tunnels and reservoirs and maintenance works of asphalt roofs. SBS modified asphaltwaterproof coiled materialsis particularly suitable for buildings in cold regions where structure frequently changes, whereas APP modified asphaltwaterproof coiled materials is particularly suitable to buildings in hightemperature regions where there is strong solar radiation.
Construction Requirements
Requirements toward base layer, Base layer must be leveled, clean and dry. Water content shall be less than 9%. Adhesive bitumen primer is smeared evenlyon the surfaceof base layer firstly. Start the construction when it is dry.
Spreading sequence direction of coiled materials
Keep the sequence from high to low, far to near at the same height;start the spreading work from lower place when at the same level. Spreading direction: when gradient slope is smaller than 3%, spread in the direction parallel with ridge; when gradient slope is 3% to15%, spread in the direction parallel with or vertical to ridge; when gradient slope is bigger than 15%, spread in the direction vertical
to ridge.
Treatment of lapping part
If lapped along longer lines, for single waterproof layer, thelappinglongitudinal/transverse width should not be less than 100mm; for double waterproof layers, it should not be less than 80mm.If lapped along shorter lines, for single waterproof layer, it shall not be less than 150mm; for double waterproof layer, it should not be less than 100mm. Besides, the work shall be done completely and evenly; all parts are melted or smeared; there must be some extra melted asphalt or code adhesive squeezed out to shape a strip.
