Basalt Rebar, Basalt Fiber Rebar, Basalt Fiber FRP Rebar
Basalt rebar is an ideal advanced material to replace steel and glass rebar. It can provide bars at different sizes and with different appearances to meet clients‘ demanding. For example, rebar with and coated, rebar without sand-coated, rod and basalt rebar with steel core inside, which are widely used in the production of building material.
Basalt Fiber Rebar Performance
|
Tensile strength is twice higher than regular steel |
Excellent corrosion resistant |
Lower density: basalt rebar density is only 1/4 of general steel |
The coefficient of thermal expansion is close to cement and concrete, bothmaterials can’t generate large temperature strain |
Non-conducting and non-heat conducting |
Can be made different bending and other bending form |

Coefficient of Thermal Expansion
The coefficient of thermal expansion of weft and warp is different, which depends on the kind of fiber, resin and fiber volume. The coefficient of thermal expansion of warp is affected by fiber property and the weft is affected by kind of resin, here as following as the comparison for different kinds fiber rebar:
Coefficient of Thermal Expansion
