Net Shape Design
The shape of sand prevention wall can be straight, semi-circular or butter fly-shaped. It also can be divided into single peak, double peak and triple peak. According to the wind tunnel test result, butter fly-shaped windbreak and dust suppression net with 30-50% aperture ratio and 140.bending angle plays a significant role in reducing the wind speed and turbulence. It has a better dust-proof effect and is the most widely used shape of windbreak and dust suppression net.
Aperture Ratio Design
The aperture rate, which is the proportion between the total aperture area and entire sheet area, shown by ε (%), is an important parameter of sand wall. It is an important parameter when design and produce the sand pervention wall. The bigger is the rate, the more air flow through the net. When ε is approaching 100%, it is corresponding to without windbreak. Hence, there is no protective effect. When ε is approaching 0%, it is corresponding to a masonry wall. The protective effect is not good at all.
By analyzing the wind tunnel test data, it is found that the aperture rate has a direct relationship with wind speed behind the net as well as the protected area. When the aperture rate is 30%- 50%, the sand prevention wall has a better sand proof effect. That is the wind speed behind the net wall is the lowest.
