Cera Beeswax, also called beeswax, is a secretion of the abdominal glands of the honeybee.

To gather 1 kg of honey, bees must make 100,000 flights covering 240,000 km and making contact with roughly 15 million blossoms. 30 kg honey and 1 kg wax can be harvested from a colony with 30-70,000 bees.

When freshly secreted, beeswax is white and colorless, and will acquire a color primarily by picking up and storing pollen and honey.
