This is batch process machine for size reduction & dispensing of paints, inks, coatings etc. The mill consists of a grinding vessel inside which rotates a shaft fitted with impeller disc. The grinding media and the charged materials are filled into the vessel & the shaft is a run at a very high speed for a particular time till dispersions is achieved. Vessels with jacket arrangements are provided as a standard feature. 2 nos. variable speed dispersers are also provided for final dispersing and through mixing.

 

GENERAL FEATURES

 

Heavy duty top covers housing the electrical motors with sturdy base, column and bridge assembly.

 

Balanced SS 304 stainless steel shafts, impellers and milling chamber.

 

Hydraulic operated lift assembly complete with all pipe fittings, hoses   valves, oil tank, pump and hose fittings driven by an explosion proof motor.

 

Jacketed SS 304 tank and milling chamber provided with inlet, outlet and drain fittings.

 

Explosion proof electric controls mounted next to machine.

 

VESSEL:

 

Vessel 304 Stainless Steel tank with cover in 2 halves, castor wheels 3 nos, towing handle and discharge valve.

 

Nominal milling volume 700 Liters. Minimum milling volume with standard tank 500 Liters.

 

Maximum tank volume to rim approx, 900 Liters.

BASKET:

 

Top of milling assembly is jacketed for product temperature control

 

Closed bottom on milling chamber with drain port 304 Stainless Steel screen

 

Screen Opening Slots 0.5 to 1mm client to select.

SHAFTS:

 

Milling shaft: 304 Stainless Steel agitator discs with Tungsten Carbide pins for media agitation

 

Two Mixing shafts: SS 304 Stainless Steel large diameter, high pumping capacity mixing blades

 

HYDRAULICS: The top head is mounted on a sturdy machined steel column provided with a hydraulic lift with lifting height of 1000 mm. The cylinder is operated by a power pack unit complete with explosion proof motor, oil tank, oil pump, control valves, gauges, pipeline and fittings all enclosed in a sheet metal enclosure.

 

DRIVE MOTORS:

Milling motor: 50 HP, Explosion Proof 1440 RPM for 3 Phase, 50 Hertz, 440 Volt Service. For use with variable frequency drive.

 

Mixing motor: 20 HP, Explosion Proof 1440 PM for 3 .Phase, 50 Hertz, 440 Volt Service. For use with Variable Frequency Drive.

 

 Hydraulic motor: 2 HP, Explosion Proof for 3 Phase, 50 Hertz, 440 Volt Service.

 

ELECTRICS: Main motors on off, ammeter 2 nos, speed increase decrease for all motors, indicating lamps, temp indicator, safety cutouts, inverter stop, emergency stop, MCB. All enclosed in an alloy steel cast body duly powder coated.

 

FINISH: All SS parts are polished to dull finish. All steel parts are coated with 2 coats of metal primer and polyurethane paint.

 

Note: Grinding media is in client’s scope of supply.
