Flame Proof enclosure constructed in accordance with the provisions as specified in IS : 2148-2404, for Gas Group I, IIA and IIB.

 

Introduction :

The Flame-proof type of lever operated Limit Switch are designed for operation in hazardous environment where explosive gases/vapors are present.The robustly designed Flame-proof enclosure is a closed grain aluminium casting and is vacuum impregnated.The enclosure is certified by CIMFR-Dhanbad.Dhanbad for use in Gas Groups I, II and IIB.Each casting is subjected to hydrostatic pressure test as specified in the standard.

 

Operation :

A two ( or more ) Contact elements (2NO+ 2NC) are  operated by respective rotating cams, suitably adjusted on a square cam-shaft.When a cam on the moving load hits the roller of the limit switch and rotates the square cam shaft, which in turn operates the change over contacts.

 

Operating  Execution :

The operating mechanism can be offered in two execution.
1. Roller Operating a Lever :
 2 Dead weight operated Limit Switch
