Belt Type Sludge Press Filter

1. Introduction.

Belt type press filter is kind of water treatment equipment which adopts and absorbs the German technology, successfully develops. 2. Working Principle

Belt type filter press is consisting of three steps to filter and dehydration:

Gravity dehydration

Sludge from wastewater treatment plant will be pumped into sludge mixing tank and mixed with polymer agglutinant, by the polymer agglutinant the tiny suspended particles in the sludge will be transferred to some larger particles and then overflow into the press dewatering unit from the top of mixing tank.

Pressure dehydration

Sludge enters into pressure dehydration unit from gravity dehydration unit; the upper and lower filter belt will squeeze and dewater the sludge.

Adding pressure dehydration

Sludge moves along with the filter belt into the adding pressure sludge dewatering unit, the sludge will go through six rollers which is perpendicular, the roller diameter from big to small in sequence and the pressure increases gradually from small to large, along with the continuously change of the up and low position of filter belt between different rollers, this will shear the sludge, and then the capillary water in the sludge will be squeezed out and will come out the dry sludge cake.

3. Performance.

Scientific design and reasonable structure ensure the presses filter machine has high dehydration performance. The main dehydration roller uses holes design, not only increasing the processing capacity, and also dehydrating sludge simultaneously on both sides, both sides of the belt quickly dewater in the process of pressing filter, which shorten the dewatering time, in the next the smaller roller are arranged and the change of the contact angle of filter belt ensure the best effect of press and shearing, which greatly improve the efficiency of solid content of sludge cake and dehydration.

Belt tension is controlled by pneumatic cylinder, which makes the whole filter keep constant tension, at the same time the tension will not change due to the change of the inlet volume of sludge, convenient operation and management. The press filter machine can automatically detect filter belt position on the roller and equipped air pressure control system can automatically adjust, equipped with automatic feeding device for wider belt filter press filter machine in order to ensure that the sludge go into filter equally, thus improve the filtering efficiency and prolong the life of the belt.

Belt filter machine has two filter belts, before normal pressure dehydration unit, there is a long gravity dehydration unit, this unique structure not only improve the efficiency of dehydration, reduce the chemicals, and also greatly reduce the energy consumption.
