Geomembrane is an anti-seepage geosynthetic material which sees the plastic film as substrate, and composited with geotextile. The anti-seepage function is mainly depends on the anti-seepage performance of plastic film. At present, the domestic and foreign application of plastic film are PVC, PE, EVA. ECB film is used on tunnel construction, which is a kind of high molecular chemical flexible material. It has smaller proportion, strong extension, high deformability, high corrosion resistance, low-temperature resistance and excellent freezing resistance.

HDPE Geomembrane is widely used in canal seepage control engineering. In recent years, the large number of applications and the good results of geosynthetics in civil engineering, especially in the flood control engineering have caused the attention of the engineering personnel. For the application technique of geosynthetics, China government brings forward the specification request from the aspects of prevention of seepage, filtration, drainage, reinforcement, protection and has greatly accelerated the pace of popularization and application of this new material. The materials are widely used in canal seepage control projects.
