Pole climbers (abbr. climber) is a kind of safety appliance for climbing concrete pole. It’s widely applied for power system and in various industries such as post, communications and radio data system, etc.

Classification of pole climbers

Climbers are mainly divided to concrete climbers and wood climbers, triangle tube climbers and round tube climbers. 

Usage of wood climbers: it’s applied to climb concrete pole of power, post and communications circuits or steel tube tower. 

Usage of concrete climbers: it’s suitable for climbing concrete pole of power, post and communications circuits. 

The climbers own flexible adjustment, light operation, reliable safety and stable quality. Each pair includes left and right climbers. Each climber consists of adjustable hook, buckle, footboard, top button, belt and anti-skid rubber mat, etc.

Precautions

Self-inspection: before use, check if each pair owns permanent marks (including name, model, manufacturer and batch number, etc) and if any product certificate in packaging container. 

Periodic test: as per regulations of DL408-91Safe Working Regulation of Power Industry-Power Station and Substation, DL409-91Safe Working Regulation of Power Industry-Electric Power Circuitand appendixTest Standard Table of Climbing Safety Tool, static tension during test is 980N, testing time is 5min, test cycle is once every half year and appearance inspection cycle is once every year. 

Storage: climbers should be saved in dry and ventilate place without corrosion.
